Security System Hub and Tablet Holder

For this client BLD designed two products. The first was a wall or desktop mounted home security hub. The second was a desktop or wall mounted tablet holder. Both are part of a security system designed for Slomin’s Shield. The scope of the project was to join an international team with a project manager, electrical engineer, and other partners to finish all the mechanical design to the level of manufacturing audit. We met every other day and worked intensively for 6 months to deliver the project on time and on budget. Once the designs were formally reviewed, we made prototypes in SLA, sheet metal, optical acrylic, and CNC ABS plastic. These prototypes were used to verify LED light pipe actuation, lack of antennae interference, door closing integrity, ease of mounting and other design features. Final CAD designs were then release to a manufacturing partner in Hong Kong
